Recently I turned 21 on the same day my gorgeous sister turned 24! Yeah, it's pretty cool, we're not twins but we get to share a birthday! It's legit the funnest, greatest, most special thing ever getting to celebrate a double birthday with my best friend every year!!!

Mental Health Week

The 5th - 12th of October is Mental Health Week in Australia and this week the ABC channel has dedicated TV shows and events all in the effort to raise money and awareness for mental health. 

" To support Mental Health Week, ABC is going Mental As... Join us, show your support and donate to mental health research today."

What a fabulous effort! I am so impressed by the ABC and the incredible work so many people have contributed to the cause. Last night the variety show 'Crack Up' was screened as the finale of the week and it was a hoot and a half! Talent from a range of channels put on a fantastic and hilarious show and over $1,000,000 has been raised so far. The aim of this week has been to remove the negative stigma of mental health, to start conversations and support those who are experiencing ill-mental health. 

Surprise surprise I was inspired by the fab logo and design the ABC are using for their Mental As campaign that I wanted to create some nail art! So here we go...

Pineapple Nails

Of late I have been really appreciating fruit, the sweet juicy taste of the flesh and especially how aesthetically extraordinary they are! This has sparked an insane amount of inspiration for fruit themed nail art. Earlier in the year I did these Watermelon Nails which I adored so I want to do a few more starting with the delicious pineapple!!!

While I find watermelon a bit too watery a fruit for my taste I do enjoy their confusing texture and think they are a very aesthetically pleasing fruit 

So why not put them on your nails! Side note when I went to Bali last year I discovered yellow watermelon! What??? Yeah true story :) here's a pretty pic

In my humble opinion it is way more exciting eating yellow watermelon, so exotic... but for the purpose of this nail design we are going with the classic pink
