Cupcake Nails

Sweet enough to eat

Recently I turned 21 on the same day my gorgeous sister turned 24! Yeah, it's pretty cool, we're not twins but we get to share a birthday! It's legit the funnest, greatest, most special thing ever getting to celebrate a double birthday with my best friend every year!!!

Birthday Buddies
As part of the birthday celebrations we had some of the cutest cupcakes from a fabulous store in Sydney called My Little Cupcake. Their cupcakes were so delicious and adorable and inspired these cupcake nails

Base coat - RevlonQuick dry base coat
Top coat - Sally Hansen Insta-Dri
Nude polish - Barry M Lychee
White polish - Face of Australia Cool Cotton
Small jewels in each of the 5 colours, mine are from Fing'rs Australia
Thin striping brush
Large dotting tool
Tooth pick

Start with a base coat and then paint your nails 2 coats of a nude polish

Next paint the top half of each nail (towards the free edge) with the pastel shade of each colour

Now take the darker shade of each polish and using your striping brush paint 3 vertical lines down the pastel painted half of the nails

Using your large dotting tool dipped in white polish create a line of adjacent dots where the pastel polish and the nude polish meet. Going towards your cuticle add more dots and fill in the gaps to form a rough triangle shape to form the icing

Take glitter polishes in each colour and scatter some small dots throughout the white icing to be some delicious sprinkles

Now it's time to add the cherry on top of each cupcake. Place a dot of top coat at the top of the icing on each nail, grab a jewel in the corresponding colour and place it on top

Add your favourite top coat and your nails are good enough to eat :)

Massive shout out to piCture pOlish! This Australian nail polish brand produce the most unique and incredible shades. They produce great quality polishes, are so friendly to correspond with and just keep pumping out new innovative shades. I am obsessed with their glitter infused colours, so bold and brilliant! I'm not sponsored by them I just think they are swell.
