Cherry Blossom Nails

How beautiful are cherry blossoms! They are too divine and I've seen some really elegant cherry blossom nail designs around, especially this one by Nails by Kayla Shevonne, so I wanted to have a go

You will need:

Base coat - Essence Studio Nails 24/7
Turquoise/green polish - Barry M Greenberry
Light pink polish (or white) - Essie Fiji
Coral pink polish - Essie Cute as a Button
Black polish - Face of Australia Scream
Top coat - Face of Australia Aussie Nights
2 dotting tools of different sizes
Thin nail brush or black striper

Start with a base coat then paint all your nails 2 coats of your turquoise polish

Take your nail brush and dip it in black polish
To create the branches I found it worked best to lay the brush down against the nails and then slowly lighten the pressure as you draw the lines to form some super realistic, tapered branches

Mix it up a bit a vary the amount of trees and branches on each nail to keep the look fresh!

Take a medium sized dotting tool in a light pink or white polish and create clusters of three dots along the branches
Add the clusters at both the end of branches and also at intersecting forks
Recently I have found that using a small piece of foil to puddle your polish while dotting - it stays put and doesn't dry up as quickly

Now grab the smallest dotting tool you can find. If you don't have a dotting tool you can use a bobby pin or toothpick, they will also work just fab
Dip it into your coral pink polish and place a dot in the centre of each light pink cluster

Add a top coat for a divine shine and you are done!
