Ombre Nails

It's like a sunset on your nails!

This design can use any combination of colours you want to create amazing blended effects

You will need 2 - 3 colours and a makeup sponge or wedge

Essie Lilacism, Revlon Colourstay Cafe Pink, China Glaze Lemon Fizz and
Sally Hansen Double Duty Base & Top Coat

Start with a base coat and then 2 coats of white polish and leave to dry completely

On an area just bigger than your nail on the sponge, paint on your chosen colours in horizontal stripes

Holding the sponge to one side of your nail, press it on your nail and roll it across the nail and back while gently sponging on the colour

You will need to reapply the polish across the sponge after every other nail
Work quickly so the polish doesn't dry out

You will need to do 2 - 3 layers of sponging to create an opaque colour
Don't be scared to make a mess and don't worry about being too exact when lining up the colours on the sponge and nails, it all helps to blend the colours!

Grab a Q-tip in some polish remover to clean up your cuticles and around the nail

Add a top coat for a great shine and seal in your gradient.
A top coat will also smooth the texture and enhance the colour blend.

Get creative and try out different colours combos and design directions and be sure to have a go and let us know if your ombre is amazing :)
