My nails are looking at you

Look at me, look at me....

So I've been wanting to do a manEYEcure for a while. It started with this ring I bought online which I thought was the perfect combo of creepy and eye catching.

Then a few weeks ago a friend of mine who is a movie fiend, that's you Nick Gillard, got me to watch Pan's Labyrinth and what can I say... I'm glad I watched it but it is interesting in a "what did I just watch?" kind of way.

This stunner called the Pale Man caught my eye during the movie and for some reason made me want to finally do an eye design

And here is cray part, not 2 days later Lynette Cenee, a nail artist on YouTube, posted this amazing All Seeing Eye design which I have been totally digging so wanted to recreate

I be using:

Base coat - Essence Studio Nails 24/7
Gold - OPI Love.Angel.Music.Baby

Blue - Sally Hansen Barracuda
White nail art pen
Black nail art pen
Dotting tools

I'm starting with a matte gold base, 2 coats of Love.Angel.Music.Baby from the new OPI Gwen Stefani collection

Then using a white nail art pen that I picked up from Priceline I'm drawing an almond eye shape across the nail and then filling it in

Next take a blue polish on a large dotting tool and use it the form a large circle in the centre of the white almond to form the iris.
If you are so inclined you could do some blending with lighter and darker blue shades to add some dimension to the eye - I was not.

Wait a bit and then using a small dotting tool in black or a black nail art pen add an elongated dot in the centre for the pupil

To finish up use a black nail art pen (or stripper if you are that talented) to outline the white almond shape and add some upper lashes

There you have it, I have been having too much fun with these. I'm stoked with how they turned out :)

For a bit of glitz I added some circular glitter pieces from OPI The Living Daylights to my pinky and thumb nails as I had left them solid gold
