MAKEUP BRUSHES: Which One Is The Right One To Use?

Brushes, Brushes, Brushes!!! In the makeup world they come in small, thin, short, angled, fanned, tipped, fat and tall. Being spoiled for choice can become a problem. Makeup is like paint and your face is like a canvas you need the right equipment to make the finished product look more realistic than abstract. But with all these brushes how do you know which one is the right one to use for each job without becoming a professional? Here are some basic brushes and their uses:

Budget Beauty: 'Ulta3' Nailpolish

This nail polish is so cheap! I discovered this brand around 4 years ago they also make lipsticks, eyeshadow, blush etc. The quality of this nail polish is truly amazing and for only $2.00 a bottle! I have around 28 bottles including a base coat and a magnetic style polish. You can find this brand at Big W, sometimes Woolworths, Terry White and other selected chemists. Their colours are a bit hit and miss but I will swatch the colours for you that I do have. Just swatching these I can see that some apply differently than others, I do not know if this is because they changed the formula or because some are older than others. Sorry about my poor application skills!

Acid Wash Nails

It is really easy to get this awesome textured effect inspired by acid wash jeans without much time or skill; the messy and uneven look is what you actually want for your nails

I am going to show you how to get two distinct acidic designs:

Classic Denim and Colour Burn

Everyone loves an acid wash pair of jeans. These nails are a little hip, a little grunge, very edgy and too easy!

A Pop Of Colour

Imge Taken From:  http://www.gocosmetics.com/

With summer approaching, natures vibrant colours and blazing warm sun is unearthing the new look of popping colours. Small glimpses of soft pastels or bright animating shades should be incorporated into your everyday look. With this said colour should be used strongly in small doses. Don’t grab a tangerine pout, clear rosy cheek flush matched with a glittering blue eye shadow as this is a lethal combination that may transport you back to the 80’s. Instead match soft brown hues with a splash of colour by highlighting one of your features whether it is your eyes, cheeks or lips.

Budget Beauty: Essence

In Australia, you can find this range in Target and Priceline. All of the products I've seen are between $2-$6. Since discovering this range, I've picked up quite a few of their products.

Essence I ♥ Stage Eyeshadow Base - $4.95

This was the second eye primer/base I've bought. So far I’m really enjoying it; it gives me a good even base. This product is very creamy and blendable but unfortunately doesn't intensify colours for me which is what I'm looking for in a base. For such an affordable price though, I am really loving this product.

 Blog Plan:

This is our initial plan for what this blog is going to look like.

Our blog will be one page. We are going for a clean and bright theme featuring pink and pastel accents on a white background with predominantly black text and a transparent blog roll

We have talked about utilising simplistic and artistic images of make up within the background to illustrate our topic and add visual dimension to our blog
