Tie-Dye Glitter Nails

It's no secret that I am one for bright colours and a sparkle of glitter so why not mix them together for a great springy nail look

You will need:

  • Base coat - O.P.I Start to Finish
  • White polish - O.P.I Alpine Snow
  • Bright Pink polish - China Glaze Neon & On & On
  • Bright Yellow polish - China Glaze Sun-Kissed
  • Light Blue polish - Zoya Blu
  • Silver polish - Sally Hansen Celeb City
  • Fine Glitter polish - Models Own Juciy Jules
  • Nail Polish Remover/Acetone
  • Nail Art/small brush
  • Dotting tools

Start with a white manicure, 2 coats, and a top coat and leave to dry

Staring with your pink polish, add a few dots across the nail
Dip a small brush in remover/acetone and gently dab it through the pink dots, spreading it across the nail to create a tie-dye/water colour effect that you desire

Leave for a few minutes to dry a tad and then repeat with the yellow and then blue polishes

The first blue I used (Sally Hansen Pacific Blue) looked far to dark and made me sad so I attempted to fix up that nail and then moved on to Zoya Blu which is a really beautiful light blue which worked far better

Clean up your cuticles and there you have it!

Now you could leave it here... or you could be awesome and outrageous and add some sparkle! Do it do it do it!!! You know you want to ;)

I chose to add some damn fine glitter to my ring and middle fingers

Then using a dotting tool placed some silver dots on:

  • Pinky: large dot at base & smaller dot above
  • Index: large dot at base
  • Thumb: 5 small dots running along the cuticle line
Play around with different colour combos to create a manicure tie-dye for ;)

Add some dashing top coat and you are all g!
